The Titanium ATOM Head

Arrowdynamic Solutions

Arrowdynamic Solutions was at the ATA Show with two very interesting broadheads: The ATOM and the Guillotine.

Both caught my attention as both have an unconventional design:

The ATOM, you can see in the pictures has a ferrule (made out of strong and light one piece TITANIUM) , into which two razor sharp Titanium wires are seated.
The titanium wires are used instead of conventional blades. According to its designer and inventor (Matthew Futtere , owner of Arrowdynamic Solutions) the
Titanium wires have the advantage of being flexible , therefore upon impact with hard surfaces (such as bones) they can bend and "work their way around" increasing penetration over conventional broadhead.
Furthermore the razor sharp titanium wires are designed to have a different grind angle compared to conventional blades
in order to leave more metal behind the edge to provide more structural integrity of the edge itself.

Another clear advantage is that using wires instead of blades this broadhead flies like a field point.
According to Mr. Futtere there is no need for "practice" point:" just go ahead and make your setup using your field points, the ATOM will hit on the exact same spot".

He is so much behind this concept that even guarantees it:
"We will have the IDENTICAL IMPACT POINT as your field tip or your money back!"

The other point that Arrowdynamic Solutions showed was the Guillotine.
This particular hunting point is specifically engineered for turkeys and works by killing the turkey in the fastest and most humane way possible, hence the name Guillotine.
This points basically looks like a short field point with four blades at 90°, blades are thin but razor sharp and offer a 2.5"X2.5" cutting width at 100grain mass.
Sales of this model are soaring as more and more states are allowing crossbows to be used for hunting.
