Bill T and the new Excalibur Relayer Y25

Excalibur's crossbow lineup

Excalibur

2008 is a special year for Excalibur in fact is the 25th anniversary of its foundation. In order to celebrate this important anniversary Bill Troubridge created something special : the Relayer Y25.

Those of you old enough may recall that the Relayer was the very first crossbow built by Excalibur. Now it is back.

The Relayer Y25 has all the features of the top of the line Exocet but, instead of a composite stock it features a marvelous laminate stock.

I had a chanche to handle this limited edition crossbow (production will be limited to 1000 so you better order your quickly...) for a few minutes, it really AWESOME, the finish is simply beautiful and the checkered grip fantastic. you have to handle one to believe. It is not just that, the ergonomics are WAY better than the Exocet: the stock feels a bit longer and it has a rubber non slip buttplate , I felt it just perfect for me. The grip is also way better as it grows larger toward the bottom , gives a great sensation of control. The fine checkering on palmgrip gives also a nice sensation on bare hands, not to mention the feeling of the wood.

Absolutely awesome, I love this one.

Too bad it is a limited edition everyone will want one....

The sample on display was # 0001 and is the personal crossbow of Katrine Troubridge.
