Bernard Horton proudly shows the reCon 175

David Choma (Horton VP of Engineering)

 talks about the new marvel

Supercompact and incredibly balanced

A new Tactical Crossbow System?

HORTON

Horton had one of the product that intrigued me most.

When last year I visited the IWA show I met people from Armcross, a Russian crossbow maker, with an incredible reversed limb crossbow: the LeoPro.

At the ATA show Horton, thanks to an agreement with Armcross, introduced the reCon 175 a reversed limb crossbow based on the original Armcross idea but engineered like a tactical weapon system

The reCon 175 features:

very compact design thanks to the reverse limb design

325 FPS with 305grs Arrow (17" Easton FatBoy arrows)

12 1/2" power stroke

weight 8 pounds

Adjustable MAGPUL CTR Stock

Magpul MIAD front grip

3 MAGPUL Weaver rails (covered with MAGPUL XT Panels) for additional accessories

The reCon 175 is sold in a package with scope, rings, quiver, 4 arrows, cocking rope

You really have to handle one to feel how balanced it is and how easily you can move it around , to me it is the single coolest product of this trade show, cannot wait to get my hands on one to see how it performs.

Also new for 2008 are stock decals to go on the Tacoma entry level model, a new Sky light quiver , a quiver designed to be mounted over your rail/scope with a Plexiglas plate that protects scope and flight rail and Lumenok offered as option for Horton arrows
