This QuadAVi shares some commonalities with the rest of the Barnett family (please look at our review of the Predator here and Revolution AVI model year 07 here and model year 08 here).

The stock-flight rail molding is done quite well as there are no sharp edges or burrs and the mating line of the mold halves is almost invisible.

The shapes of the features molded in the stock (pistol grip, cheek piece etc) are blended into each other : you can see Barnett spend some good money into the design

The front grip is rather large and will correctly accommodate large hands as well as offer a sure and safe grip. The back portion of the grip is canted and will enable minute adjustments when shooting from a rest or sandbag by simply moving back or forth without taking the aim off the target.

The flight rail is integral with the stock, meaning is it made from the same plastic compound. You know I am not a fan of plastic flight rails but here I have to admit the thing is engineered pretty well as it offers a very smooth surface. Differently from the Revolution the QuadAVi has a flat flight rail

The surface is of the rail is very smooth in order to reduce serving wear, besides that the material looks and feels quite hard: I think this is due to the GAM molding process injects gas into the mold to create a hollow stock (to reduce weight) that has the side effect of compressing the plastic material creating a very dense compound.

The cable slot is lined with a low friction material in order to minimize wear on the cables.

The Realtree Hardwoods HD finish is applied perfectly over the stock even in minute or recessed features (except on the flight rail upper surface)

All visible metal parts are anodized or painted in non glare black

The arrow retention spring is coupled with a rubber compound that effectively kills any noise

The trigger components and leverages are all made of metal with the pull made by MIM (Metal Injection Molding) and features a smooth pull surface and several vents on the back rib.

The trigger is factory set at 4 pounds.

Special note here: as we reviewed the RevolutionAVi we criticized several aspects of the trigger, kudos to Barnett for listening and upgrading their components!

Keep in mind that this crossbow is priced at 394.99 (found on Crossbow-Wharehouse.com)
