Gerber Gator II

The GatorII

Recessed blade lock

Drop point serrated edge

The back of the blade, near the handle features a ribbed area for indexing and to use some more pushing with your thumb.

The lock-unlock lever now features a recessed area so that you cannot accidentally unlock the blade.

Overall the knife exceptional for grip and handling, but this is for me, I have rather large hands. If you have a smaller hand it may be a little big (fat), although the very good grip holds true. What impressed me most is the sharpness of the blade; this knife comes from the factory RAZOR sharp! It actually puts to shame my broadheads.

I have used the knife in a couple of hunting trips so far, it proved to be a reliable companion and the perfect replacement for my aging Gator. I always carry tree knifes, one rather large with fixed blade such as a machete for heavy duty works, one for light and precise work and a medium size knife such as the Gator II for everything in between, tasks for which the Gator II is just perfect!
